"Sarah Gillen was amazing in her ability to help me more effectively through valuing my own natural style. She helped me clarify what was holding me back, and we instituted specific steps to expand my parameters. Sarah coached me on organizational and functional issues, as well as on personal and communicational issues - a very broad range of coaching skill. Her emphasis on the relationship between personal process and leadership issues opened the door for more growth than I thought possible. I have become more confident in my own way of doing things. I highly recommend Sarah to anyone who wants to improve their leadership abilities."

Individual Coaching for Leaders

With Vermont Business Coaching, entrepreneurs and leaders develop greater awareness of their own patterns and how they affect output and company culture. Small business owners and executives:

  • increase their ability to provide the structure and motivation that their employees need in order to increase their performance.
  • dramatically increase energy available for work success, as well as for lifestyle improvements as they affect performance
  • discover what may have been holding them back from fully expressing their talents, and learn how to access inspiration, increasing their competence, and manifesting excellence.
  • become more creative and confident.
  • greatly enhance their communication skills.

The Coaching Plan:

Assessment is made through interviews with the manager (and supervisor, if relevant) and challenges are identified. Assessment tools are used, if indicated.

Together, we clearly define the goals, strengths and competencies that will provide excellence in your situation.  Skills are augmented, such as emotional maturity, capacity to relate to diverse individual styles, congruence with core culture, capacity to prioritize, manage time, delegate, and empower, claiming one’s own talents.

Outcomes and metrics are clearly stated.

The plan is implemented with ongoing support and accountability.  Incremental steps are outlined, in order to build strengths in broad areas of effectiveness.

Coaching is timed according to the needs of the organization, as well as the leader’s needs. Typically 3 months to 1 year.

The length of coaching sessions and frequency are contracted in advance. Fees depend on amount of time and size of project.

I am proud of my record of accompanying talented men and women to the realization of goals which usually far exceed their original aspirations.
